The lovely couple

Lilly and Tannar have met! On April 7, and again two days later. The scan on May 11th showed that Lilly is expecting at least 6 pups! Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting news!

The Preps...

Approaching the last week...Lilly is doing well. The daily walks are getting shorter, and the number of meals per day is increasing. She's resting and sleeping for most of the day, gathering up her energy for the busy time ahead.

How many pups?

Our litter arrived on 6 June with 13 precious pups. We are now watching 12 little ones grow by the day, finding their paws, exploring the whelping box and becoming livelier with every tiny wiggle.

Day 54

Lilly is relaxing on Saturday afternoon - her tummy is growing by the day! I can feel movement inside now and again....very exciting!

Whelping Box

Whelping box is ready in the kitchen. The front side has been left down for the time being, as Lilly is too heavy to jump over at the moment! As soon as the pups are born, the front will be in place, and the pups and Lilly will be safe in their haven for the coming weeks. Actually, Poppy enjoys chilling in there too, happy memories from five years ago!
